The DEQ comment period for this proposed renewal of an Air Quality Permit ends March 28, 2007. The facility is located in Hillsboro, Oregon manufacturing finished kitchen cabinets, which results in major source emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) including some hazardous air pollutants (i.e., greater than 10 tons per year of any single HAP or 25 tons per year for total HAPs). The proposed permit would place no limit on carbon dioxide, a key global greenhouse gas.
