The DEQ comment period for this proposed renewal of an Air Quality Permit ends March 28, 2007. The facility is located in Portland, Oregon and produces fiberglass-reinforced parts where resin application results in the evaporation of VOCs, primarily styrene. The VOC emissions are in such quantities, and including Hazardous Air Pollutants, that Oregon law requires emissions to be regulated and monitored. The proposed permit would place no limit on carbon dioxide, a key global greenhouse gas.
