The DEQ comment period for this new Air Quality Permit ends February 28, 2007. The facility, located in Portland, Oregon, manufactures drainage products made from polystyrene pellets. The proposed new permit would allow discharge of 39 tons/year of isopentane, a volatile organic compound (VOC), the vapor of which combines with nitrogen oxides in the presence of sunlight to form ozone.
