Permitted Mixing Zone Size for Toxicity:
Waterbody: Columbia River at about River Mile (RM) 67.5.
Acute Mixing Zone: 468 feet wide extending 34 feet upstream and 34 feet dowstream.
Acute Mixing Zone Surface Area: Estimated SA is 31,824 square feet.
Chronic Mixing Zone: 500 feet wide extending 100 feet upstream and 340 feet downstream.
Chronic Mixing Zone Surface Area: Estimated SA is 220,000 square feet.
Chronic Mixing Zone Volume: Depth is approximately 40 feet and the estimated volume is 8,800,000 cubic feet (about 66 million gallons).
